My experience of downloading and installing " Finale Notepad"
software needed to view
the sheet music on these harp lessons. Overall everything went smoothly
for me, but
be sure to read all the information available at the finalemusic site before installing it on your computer,
Please note that Finale music no longer supplies the Finale Viewer previously used for these lessons .
FINALE VIEWER IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. USE FREE FINALE NOTEPAD INSTEAD.
Notes about installing Finale Notepad
- Visit the Finale Music site http://www.finalemusic.com
- Register and download the free finale notepad.
- We strongly advise reading the FAQ and installation notes before you download the program.
- Make sure you select the version for your computers operating system eg. windoWs or mac.
- After downloading the free software follow the instructions from finale to install it on your computer.
That's it! now click on a link to a lesson.Your browser will ask you to
- choose "save" or "open" with (Internet Explorer) or
- Choose "save to disk" or "open with (Finale binary default)" (Firefox/mozilla)
- If you click on open Finale Notepad should open automatically.To save the lesson on your computer You will need to save it using the file menu in Finale Notepad.
- We recommend that you choose the "save" option and
recommend saving them in a separate harp lessons folder so you can find them easily.
You can then open the lessons with Finale Notepad.
- Use the Play, Pause, Stop, Fwd ,and Rew buttons to play the music. Do not use the other butttons because finale notepad is a sheet music editor and you can easily change the lesson permanently!
- CAUTION: after playing the lesson finale notepad may ask if you want to save changes to the file ,CLICK NO. (you can rewrite the whole lesson with Finale notepad so be careful.
